Personal Information

Bonnie Gordon-Lucas' designs decorate everyday objects, from clothing to coffee mugs. Her illustrations can be found in children's books, magazines and greeting cards. She uses traditional media combining line art, colored pencil, watercolor, and gouache, that's sometimes enhanced by computer. At the tender age of two, Bonnie eagerly reached from her high chair, finger-painting a colorful "Cooked Beets and Carrots" on the walls of Grandma's newly painted kitchen. Her early talent was recognized, but received mixed reviews: "Good, needs salt!" --Poppa Adler, Brooklyn, NY. "Don't spank that girl, frame it!" --Aunt Bella, Wallingford, CT.
